Being a survivor doesn't mean you have to be made out of steel and it doesn't mean you have to be ruthless - It means you have to be basically on your own side and want to win.

The longer we listen to one another - with real attention - the more commonality we will find in all our lives. That is, if we are careful to exchange with one another life stories and not simply opinions.

In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins - not through strength but by perseverance.
